The contemporary design of this garden aims to complement the bold architecture of a newly constructed Huf House.

The design draws its inspiration from the client’s love of jazz music, aiming to replicate the flowing melody and staccato rhythm of the music of Miles Davies’ Kind of Blue.
Soft flowing drifts of planting ebb and flow throughout the garden, colliding with sharp angular pieces of hard landscaping to represent the tension and discord found in jazz music.

The client’s love of the countryside that surrounds the property plays an integral role in the design; areas where landscape and garden merge create the sense that the wider landscape is reaching into the garden simultaneously as the garden reaches out into the landscape.
