The brief for this garden was to create a green oasis for the clients to escape to after a busy day at work. A hardwood deck at the rear of the house forms the main terrace and is perfectly located for the clients to enjoy the last of evening sunshine. This leads to a formal space consisting of a rectangular lawn with two planting beds either side.
The garden becomes increasingly informal as you move through onto a gravel path interplanted with loose planting. This leads to a relaxed seating area at the rear of the garden comprised of pebble seats and a fire pit, perfect for entertainment or quiet contemplation.
Three green oak frames draw the eye to a specimen Cornus kousa at the back of the garden that acts as a focal point.
Construction is due to begin in early 2019.
