PROCESS
Initial consultation
The process begins with a meeting and site visit to get to know you and to see your garden. In this initial conversation you set out what you want from your new garden.
Having met you and familiarised myself with your garden I will write up a client brief, which will make up the basis of the outline design proposal.
Survey
Once the brief has been agreed a full topographical survey of your site will be needed in order for the design process to continue.
Concept Design
Following our initial meeting and survey I will work on a design solution for your new garden. Initial thoughts, concepts and ideas will be worked on and sketched out.
An A3 document will be presented to you including rendered plans, sectional elevations, perspective drawings, 3D computer models and mood boards. These drawings will serve to communicate the character of the design, providing you with a clear idea of what your new garden will look like.
Detailed Design
Any changes or adjustments that come from the outline design proposal will be made and I will revisit the design in more detail.
Construction drawings, planting plans and an accurate masterplan will be produced to provide potential contractors with the necessary information required to calculate a cost estimate for the build of the garden.
Tendering
Once the design is finalised, the project will be put out to tender. You will be introduced to a number of landscape contractors who will provide a quote for the build of the job.
Construction
Once a contractor has been selected, I can monitor the works carried out to ensure the garden is built to the correct standards. Day to day management of the build will be carried out by the landscape contractor. During the build I will make visits to site and will be present during the important stages of construction and especially during planting.
Completion
Once the garden is completed I can provide you with a maintenance schedule if required to help you care for your new garden. I will also be happy to continue to give advice and return to the garden should you need further help in the future .
